Festiwal Historii i Kultury Średniowiecznych Prus: Prusowie ze wsi Sędyty, organizowany w ramach wspólnego z Urzędem Miasta Olsztyn projektu ODYSEJA BAŁTYCKA. TWORZENIE WSPÓLNEJ PRZESTRZENI HISTORYCZNEJ I KULTUROWEJ, dofinansowanego ze środków Unii Europejskiej, z Programu Współpracy Transgranicznej Polska-Rosja 2014-2020, oraz Narodowego Instytutu Wolności i Samorządu Województwa Warmińsko-Mazurskiego odbywał w Olsztyńskim Lesie Miejskim – Osada Sundythen, przez cztery weekendy, począwszy od 21-22 sierpnia do 11-12 września 2021.
Podczas festiwalu odbył się cały szereg warsztatów i działań, m. in. średniowieczne gry i zabawy dla małych i dużych, warsztaty muzyki i tańca średniowiecznego, garncarskie, tkackie, rogownictwa, bursztynnicze, kowalskie, tradycyjnego piowarstwa, kuchnia Prusów, mennica Sundythen, archeologia dla dzieci na poważnie, turniej łuczniczy, spektakl Opowieści z Sędyt.

Festival of
History and Culture of Medieval Prussia: Old-Prussians of the Sędyty Village
was organized together with the Municipal Office of Olsztyn within the common project
entitled The Baltic Odyssey: Creating a Common Historical and Cultural Space,
which is co-financed by the European Union resources, the POLAND-RUSSIA Cross-border Cooperation
Programme 2014–2020, the National Freedom Institute, and Self-Government of the
Voivodeship of Warmia and Mazury.
The festival took place in the Municipal Forest of Olsztyn – The Sundythen
Village for the four consecutive weekends from the 21st – 22nd of August to the
11th – 12th of September 2021.
The festival included a variety of workshops and activities, including medieval
games for children and adults, workshops in medieval music and dance, workshops in pottery making, weaving,
blacksmithing, making objects of horn and amber,
Old-Prussian cooking. There was a chance to produce coins in the Sundythen
mint, take part in an archery tournament or the Serious Archaeology for
Children project, or watch ‘The Stories of Sędyty’ play.
